About Us

Blair & Bertha Scott

Jack and Mary Scott purchased the home farm in 1932. They raised two boys Bill and Bob, who both pursued careers in agriculture. Jack and Mary had a herd of Jersey dairy cows until 1963, as their barn burnt for the second time. They then decided to build a layer poultry barn instead of re-building the dairy barn after the fire.

Bill and Bertha Scott bought the home farm in 1968 and continued the chicken layers and cash cropping. Bill and Bertha have a daughter Barbara and a son Blair. Barbara and her husband Blair Alton are currently living in London, Ontario. Blair Alton works in the manufacturing industry and Barbara in the dental field. Barb and Blair have two boys Scott (wife Michelle) and Ben, who also reside in London.

Blair Scott and his wife Fiona joined partnership in the farm with Bill and Bertha in 1994. In 2002, the layer quota was sold to make the transition into broiler chickens while expanding acreage in the cash crop operation. Blair and Fiona have three children Emily, Hannah, and Brent. Emily is a broker for Royal LePage Exchange Reality Co. Brokerage and lives in Kincardine with her husband Kyle. Hannah and Brent are actively involved with the farm's daily operations.
